The Past Is In The Past

We are worried, we are happy, sad, frustrated, nervous, confused, excited, joyful…

Sometimes we feel like we just want to stay and live in that particular moment. And other times, we want it all to be over with.  In either case, time is passing, and there will be a day where you look back and see how far you’ve come.

In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: “it goes on”

Robert Frost

This is a really nice quote I read about somewhere by the American poet Robert Frost. When he said that life goes on, he meant IT GOES ON. There is no point brooding about something that happened today, yesterday, or even 10 years ago, because what’s gone is gone… You can’t go back and fix it. So just try to get over what happened. I know this may seem hard, but that is something we should all practice to maintain a healthy life.

This quote may also talk about the nice things that happen in your life… So Cherish each moment because they might never come back again.

  1. I have always loved this quote:

โ€œThe Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.โ€

(poem from the Rubaiyat by the Persian poet and astronomer Omar Khayyam, written sometime around 1115 A.D., translated into English by the Englishman Edward Fitzgerald in 1859.)
